Chapter Announcements

  • New Members Orientation & Pizza Party

A good time was had  by all, in your president's estimation.   On Oct 26th, we had attendance of 20 for pizza party and information related to STTI benefits.  We reviewed upcoming calendar events, and  brainstormed ideas for our Movie Night which will be held on Feb. 22.  New members were reminded to complete their personal profile on the STTI website and be sure to put most permanent mailing address for future use by the organization.

  • STTI Biennial Convention in Indianapolis

THANK YOU to all Rho Omega members for sending me as your delegate to STTI's Biennial Convention in Indianapolis this past week.

I attended a lot of CE sessions & speakers, networked with lots of nurses, especially from Region 5 (IL & MO), and got quite a few ideas for our chapter activities. I also cast both my vote and Pam Melvin's vote (unable to attend in person) at the House of Delegates.   There were bylaws changes and resolutions to approve, as well as a slate of new officers to elect for the upcoming 2018-2019 biennium.

Our new international president, Dr. Beth Tigges, gave the following "Call to Action": Connect-Collaborate-Catalyze.

One of the biggest  items of discussion was the roll-out of a new logo (SIGMA) and "brand" for the organization. I'll explain more in a future email.   Take a look at  part of the logo in the attached picture of me (the tired conventioneer.)
    THANKS again, Sarah Delaware
